💡 For any Narrative Trigger, compare how Reference Assets perform against Malign Assets and the wider Asset field — in volume and in engagement.

***

For any Narrative Trigger, Narrative Pulse breaks both volume and engagement out by asset type — Assets, Malign Assets, and Reference Assets — across the window you choose. Open Narrative Pulse from the left-hand navigation in Vantage and use it to measure how Reference Assets perform against malign and organic activity on a single Trigger, in figures ready for a report or briefing.

***

##

When you need to measure how Reference Assets hold their own on a specific Narrative Trigger, and turn that into figures for a report, a briefing, or a periodic review of their impact — the one place Narrative Pulse sets owned activity directly against malign and organic activity on the same Trigger.

## The Walkthrough

### I

- **Straight to the Trigger. **Open the Narrative Triggers tab and pick one — the highest by Publications or Engagement, one surfaced by a recent Alert or your own research, or any you want to test.
- **Through a Narrative. **Open a Narrative from the Narratives tab; Narrative Pulse shows its full analysis, including the Subnarratives and Narrative Triggers Trends section. Pick a Trigger from there.

Either way, wherever a list of Narrative Triggers appears, each one opens the asset comparison analysis this guide walks through.

*The Narrative Landscape. Set your filters, then enter through the Narratives or the Narrative Triggers tab — ranked by Publications or Engagement.*

###

On the Trigger’s Narrative Trigger Volume graph, select Publications and By assets type. The graph splits into three bands — Assets, Malign Assets, and Reference Assets — each carrying its own total for the window.

###

Click the Assets entry in the legend to drop the wider field. Malign Assets and Reference Assets rescale to fill the graph, so the green Reference band reads clearly against the malign one.

*The Assets band hidden — Malign and Reference Assets on their own scale, with the Reference peak now easy to read.*

###

Toggle the graph from Publications to Engagement. The same bands now plot engagement rather than volume — where Reference Assets earn attention, not only where they publish. Volume and engagement rarely track each other.

###

Scroll to Assets Active on this Trigger. Rank the Assets by Publications, Views, or Engagement, and read the Type column to see how each one is classified. This is where a band on the graph resolves into the specific Assets behind it.

### **Share feedback at any point**

Tell us whenever something is not working or does not look right, or share what would make Narrative Pulse better for you. There are two ways in: the message icon, available throughout Narrative Pulse, and the Support button in the bottom-left corner.

Either opens the “How can we help?” form — choose the type of feedback, add a note, and attach a file if it helps.
