**💡 From the Narrative Landscape to the Sub-Narratives, Triggers, and Malign Assets amplifying it — your first walkthrough of Narrative Pulse.**

***

Narrative Pulse shows you the whole narrative picture of your space — every Narrative in your Information Landscape, ranked and measurable, not a limited set of signal topics. Open it from the left-hand navigation in Vantage: it lands on the Narrative Landscape, and from there this guide follows a single Narrative down to the Sub-Narratives, Triggers, and Malign Assets amplifying it.

***

##

The first time you open Narrative Pulse, and whenever a Narrative matters enough to take apart — to see which Sub-Narratives and Triggers hold it up, which Malign Assets amplify it, and which Publications carry it, so your response targets the structure rather than the surface.

| **TIP**<br />Percentages compare the selected window with the previous equal period. Engagement keeps updating for a couple of days after a post appears and settles after about 48 hours, so very fresh numbers may still move. For what each metric means and where it is available by platform, see Narrative Pulse — Terms & Metrics. |

## The Walkthrough

###

Narrative Pulse opens on the Narrative Landscape. All filters — asset type, platform, and time range — sit on the top panel, upper right. Choose a period, and three cards summarize it across three dimensions: Publications, Narratives, and Narrative Triggers. The Narratives and Triggers Trends table below ranks every Narrative in your space, with its publication count, engagement, and number of Sub-Narratives. Switch the ranking between Publications and Engagement with the toggles above the table.

*The Narrative Landscape — the view Narrative Pulse opens on. All filters sit on the top panel, upper right.*

###

On the top panel, set the asset filter to Malign Assets. The Narrative Landscape now shows only what Malign Assets amplify. Sort the table by Publications and pick a Narrative worth taking apart.

*The Narrative Landscape filtered to Malign Assets and sorted by Publications. Here, “Ukraine oppresses its citizens” sits at rank 4, with 128 Publications and 28.3K engagement.*

###

Click the Narrative to open it. The header cards show its rank, Publications, engagement, Sub-Narratives, and Narrative Triggers, and the Narrative Volume graph plots its dynamic over the selected period. Toggle the graph between Publications and Engagement using the control above it to see whether volume and engagement peak together.

*The Narrative opened — its header metrics and the Narrative Volume graph, by Publications.*

###

Below the Narrative Volume graph, click Generate summary. Narrative Pulse returns a short summary: the Sub-Narratives and Triggers sustaining the Narrative, the Malign Assets amplifying it, and the highest-engagement Publications — each linked to the post and to the Asset that amplified it.

*The summary — Sub-Narratives, Triggers, and the highest-engagement Publications with the Malign Assets that amplified them.*

###

Open the Sub-Narratives and Narrative Triggers Trends section. Sort by Publications or Engagement, then select a Trigger to go deeper.

*The Narrative’s Triggers, sorted by Publications. Switch to Engagement with the toggle on the right.*

###

Open a Trigger to see it in the same detail, with its own metrics and its volume over the period. Generate a summary for the Trigger too: it shows which Narratives and Sub-Narratives the Trigger has activated, broken down by asset type, with the highest-engagement Publications linked — follow the links straight to the underlying posts.

Tell us whenever something is not working or does not look right, or share what would make Narrative Pulse better for you. There are two ways in: the message icon, available throughout Narrative Pulse, and the Support button in the bottom-left corner.

Either opens the “How can we help?” form — choose the type of feedback, add a note, and attach a file if it helps.
